2024-05-07 - Climatic data for the NBC2005 to NBC2020

New calculation tool available :

This calculation tool alows you to get the climatic data (snow, wind) for the five (5) closest cities of a search location that are available in the appendix C of the NBC.

The seismic hazard from the NBC2020 is also obtained directly from the Earthquakes Canada website for the coordinates of the searched location.

A map is displayed with the location of the closest cities as well as the searched location.

Update of all calculation tools (except typical snow load). See modification history directly in the different calculation tool page.

Some minor interface modications.

2024-04-16 - Three new caculation tools and AISC Shapes Database v15

New calculation tools available :

Updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, more specifically the subsection “Information collected and their use” as well as the subsection “How do we use cookies?”

It is now possible to easily copy the calculation notes (or certain subsections) to the clipboard to then paste it into a text document.

Steel section properties now come from the AISC Shapes Database v15.0 . Unfortunately, CISC does not allow the use of its Structural Section Tables (SST) database for this website.

Some changes to the interface.

2023-12-04 - New calculation tool for concrete slab

A new calculation tool is now available :

Imperial units and english translation are not done yet, however the SI and french version are completed.

At this moment, cracking calculation are not available, but will be in the future.

Finally, overall quality-control is still in progress.

2021-07-29 - Imperial units and corrections

It is now possible to display the calculations tools using the imperial units (top right beside the choice of language).

New revision of the following calculation tools :

  • Equivalent static force method
  • Member subject to bending and compression

To find out about the corrections made, refer to the modification history of the respective tools.

2021-07-17 - New tools, general terms and english

Two new calculation tools are now available!

It is also possible for those two new tools to get a permanent hyperlink in order to save the page with the input data provided.

We also modified the general terms (terms of service, privacy policy and use of cookies.

Mainly, we have modified the section "Information collected automatically" of the privacy policy, indicating in particular that we use the services of Google Analytics and AdSense. We also added a section "Use of cookies"

The warning to inform about the use of cookies has been changed as well.

Finally, the web site is now available in english as well.
